There comes a moment when the body stops asking nicely.
It begins speaking in tension, fatigue, irritability, overwhelm—
not as a malfunction,
but as a message:
It’s time to come home to yourself.

SOMATIC THERAPY & NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION

There comes a moment when the body can no longer be ignored.
The tension, the overwhelm, the exhaustion — not as a malfunction, but as communication.

Somatic therapy is a body-based approach that works with the nervous system rather than against it. Stress does not live only in the mind. It lives in posture, breath, muscle tone, and the patterns of protection the body learned early in life. When those patterns are left unaddressed, the system stays braced or shut down, even when life looks “fine” on the outside.

Many of the emotions we struggle with as adults are rooted in fear — not fear as a thought, but fear held in the body. As children, we learn which emotions are safe to express and which ones are not. Over time, emotions that feel too risky are suppressed. The more fear the nervous system carries, the more it relies on repression. The less we feel, the less access we have to ourselves.

Somatic work is about restoring that access.

Rather than analyzing or revisiting stories, we work with what is happening now — the tight chest, the shallow breath, the subtle impulse to pull away or push through. Through nervous system regulation, the body begins to recognize that it no longer has to stay on high alert to survive.

This work is steady, grounded, and paced for safety. It supports emotional release not through force, but through awareness. As regulation increases, emotions move again. Capacity returns. The body begins to trust itself.

Somatic therapy is often sought out by people who have tried talk therapy and gained insight, but still feel stuck in chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, or emotional overwhelm. When the root of an issue is emotional or nervous-system based, physical solutions alone are often not enough.

This work is not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who you are beneath the adaptations.

If you are here, your body may already be signaling readiness — not for a quick fix, but for a more embodied, trustworthy relationship with yourself.

What Our Clients Say

"After just a few sessions, I felt truly seen and supported in a way I had never experienced before. I had tried so many different modalities over the years, but nothing ever seemed to create lasting change. This was the first approach that actually worked for me, bringing a level of clarity, relief, and transformation I didn’t think was possible."

— Hannah T.

“Sessions with Sasha feel like coming back to myself. Her steadiness helped my nervous system settle in ways I didn’t know were possible. I leave feeling clearer, calmer, and more connected to what’s true for me.”

Somatic work is the process of releasing the emotions and protections your body stored when it didn’t feel safe to express your full self.
Not mindset.
Not catharsis.
Not theory.

It’s allowing the body to move what was suppressed — with a regulated guide who knows how to create the safety required for truth to rise.

Support Tailored to Your Needs

Why Somatic Work Matters Now

We’re living in a time when stress doesn’t just sit in the mind —
it lives in the body.
In your breath. Your posture. Your sleep.
In the moments you feel yourself bracing, pushing, performing, or quietly burning out.

When the nervous system carries more than it can process,
decision-making suffers.
Boundaries blur.
Presence becomes fragmented.
And the body pays the bill with exhaustion, irritability, tension, or shutdown.

Somatic work meets you in the place where language can’t reach —
helping your system release what it’s been holding
and rebuilding the inner safety you need to show up fully in your life.

Your Questions, Answered

How do I schedule my first session?

Begin by booking a complimentary 15-minute consultation through my online calendar.
This short conversation gives your nervous system a chance to feel into the space — no pressure, no commitment. We’ll explore what’s bringing you here, sense whether my approach aligns with your needs, and if it feels like a fit, I’ll help you schedule your first full session at a time that works for you.

What is somatic work, and how is it different from talk therapy?

Somatic work begins where language ends.
Instead of processing solely through conversation, we bring gentle awareness to the sensations, emotions, and protective patterns held in your body. These patterns often shape your reactions, stress levels, and relationships long before the mind catches up.

Traditional talk therapy helps you understand your experiences.
Somatic work helps you unwind the tension your system is still carrying and rebuild a felt sense of safety — the foundation for deeper change.

It’s not about forcing emotion or reliving the past.
It’s about meeting your system exactly where it is, with attunement, pacing, and presence.

Is somatic therapy the same as psychotherapy?

Somatic therapy is a broad term that can include both clinical and non clinical approaches. In this practice, the work is non diagnostic and non clinical, focused on nervous system education, regulation, and awareness rather than mental health treatment.

It is not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care.

How long does it take to see changes with somatic therapy?

Because this work supports nervous system regulation rather than quick solutions, changes often happen gradually. Many people notice subtle shifts first, such as feeling calmer, more grounded, or less reactive. Over time, these changes can support greater emotional clarity and resilience.

The pace and experience are different for each person.

How do I know if somatic therapy is right for me?

If you feel drawn to body based approaches, notice that stress lives in your body, or sense that insight alone has not been enough, somatic therapy may be a good fit.

The best way to explore this is through a consultation, where you can ask questions and sense whether this approach feels supportive for you.
